Hey ALF, I’m working on a unique 3d tower defense game called Grandmother Defence. it’s a third person but with hidden objects mechanics.
Would love to see your take on it! and It’s up on itch.io here https://ahmednaboot.itch.io/grandmother-defence
BTW, it has a 100% high score system — would be epic to see how close you can get! 👀 If you play it, totally drop your score — I dare you to hit 100 😎
For a demo it shows potential, I did try playing with a mouse and keyboard which is clearly not intended, I imagine it would be a lot smoother with a controller, apart from that, if I could make a suggestion, add a shop where the player can buy upgrades, maybe with those blue tear crystal things, right now their only purpose is to collect them to win the level.

Nicely done platformer. I would consider delete joystick keys if player plays at PC. Its not necessery showing buttons from joystick at all. Also when player fall of from the clif/platform i would consider to take dame to player and gives him better spawn, starting from beggining is anyoing.
But the sounds are greate, graphic is coasy. Keep it up i knida like it.
I really had fun with the game it's a great game really with some weird happenings here and there but that doesn't really matter would love to see it become something bigger

Amazing base here to build off of if you wanted to expand this concept further!!!! There's only a few things I think need tweaking gameplay-wise:
1) When you dash there's wayyyy too long of a delay on your next accepted input. If you are fighting two wizard guys and get hit after an air dash, you get stun-locked until you die because you can't do any other inputs after your dash; you float there for a REALLY long time.
2) Similarly, there's too long of a delay after an attack before you can move again.
3) Camera movement is extremely sensitive. Which might be okay for some people, but a slider to control that would be huge.
Bug report: The game has a mechanic where when you attack, you stay in the air for a while until your attack ends, but jumping cancels the attack animation, allowing you to walk freely through the air.
please make this a full game!!! i love the character designs and level layout! the only few problems i have is that the heart plants don't heal much and the camera sensitivity is too high. I suggest that you make the dodge not come to a complete stop in the air and add a sprint button to add more movement tech.
I liked it. I found it really aesthetically appealing. The game includes Xbox controller plug-and-play, and that fine. But, I don't like how the plug-and-play structure can't keep to itself, and will bleed out into any controller, no matter how generic it is. If the game could be paired with JoyToKey, it could've become cleanly compatible with 400+ controllers.
This is a neat game, it would feel a lot better without the long endlag on dashing though. I can understand it making sense in combat, but it feels bad in platforming, so maybe the endlag can only apply if you trigger the iframes or something?
It would also be nice if the game didn't immediately end when you collect enough points, maybe opening a goal or something. I wanted to finish exploring and collect everything.

Three months have passed, and it took me this long to know that dash gives you iFrames and holding space increases your jump power a little bit. This game will always have a special place in my heart, nothing could change that. If only this game received further development, though. Could we maybe get some lore or fun facts about Willow, the forest, and clunkers? :3
After playing The Orchid's Edge for a while, I discovered a few interesting "features." Spamming space and clicking will reset your M1, and lock-on not only locks onto your target but also pulls you towards it when you click. This means you can fly or wall-climb using the lock-on feature. Finally, for some magical reason, you can activate kill aura for Willow, causing enemies near you to automatically take damage without needing to click.
Was very reminiscent of kingdom hearts while playing it. Especially with the ambient level music getting more intense during combat. Very fun and hit me right in the nostalgi
This is amazing! Character and camera movement both feel very good and it looks so pretty, very relaxing and fun game! I'm excited to see what else you'll make :)
Should just be the start button on an XBone controller or the enter key, although the default controller support-in engine can have issues with other kinds of controllers.
Cool awesome game! AAA beware! The only suggestion I would make is changing the camera position further back. You can't tell where you are jumping. Check out Mario 64 when you jump forward there is a shadow as a guide
This was freaking incredible! I came across it while playing a different Ludum Dare game on itch and couldn't help but click through. I'm dreadful with a keyboard and mouse, but the game is so freaking cute and I'm hoping I can try it with a game controller sometime!

Funnily enough, I can't "click start." I (keyboard user) tried all of the buttons mentioned in the description, but I never progressed to the game.
You have to press enter, it should really clarify
good game

Well that was cute and fun! I love seeing more combat platformers in the world and this was definitely a basic one but the aesthetic is adorable.
Keep up the good work, lads! Cornflower, I'm very eager to see more of 'Lightspeed Lina'.

Defo not intentional, but you can deal with the attack delay, and possibly dash delay, by spamming jump and attack, cancelling the animation.

Hello🥰 I’d really appreciate your feedback on the game I shared in my profile🥰

I liked the graphics, but the camera sensitivity was a bit too much for me that I could only play for a bit before getting sick.

This, and the Respawn when you fall pitting you all the way back at the start. Aside from that, I LOVE IT!

Great start for a game. Love the art style.

I love this game so much that whenever I'm feeling down, I play it to unwind.
I'm glad you like it! There's definitely some dumb stuff you can do with the controller, the attack reset is the funniest one 😋
Relly Fun
